He Carries the
Weight of the Church

One day a week, carry it with him.

The Chair of Peter Is No Throne.
It’s a Cross.

To sit there is to bleed. To carry the weight of a billion souls. To stand in the breach for the Church, for the world, for you.

The Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, said yes knowing full well what it would cost. He gave up everything—his plans, his preferences, his peace, his name—so we could have a shepherd.

And now?

Now, he needs us.

What if the greatest gift you could give wasn’t money or praise—but prayer and fasting? This is your chance to give that gift to the one who needs it most.

Join Catholics around the world committing to pray and fast every Thursday for the Holy Father’s protection, holiness, and mission.

Because the devil never sleeps.
Because the burden is heavy.
Because the Church is depending on him—and on us.

Because no cross needs to be carried alone.

  • Pray

“It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you.

    John 15:16

  • Fast

“But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you may not appear to others to be fasting, except to your Father who is hidden. And your Father who sees what is hidden will repay you.

    Matthew 6:17-18

  • Trust

Find your delight in the Lord who will give you your heart’s desire. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will act and make your righteousness shine like the dawn, your justice like noonday.”

    Psalm 37:4-6

Join the Mission

For the man who said yes, for the Church he carries, let us fast and pray.

THIS IS THE FIFTH WEEK OF POPE LEO XIV’s PONTIFICATE. ELEVEN PEOPLE ARE CURRENTLY FASTING AND PRAYING FOR HIM.

How It Works

When you sign-up to join us for a year of prayer and fasting for the Holy Father, you’ll receive:

  • A weekly email reminder (on Thursdays) with updates on Pope Leo XIV’s pontificate and prayer intentions

  • Featured prayers to our patron saints

  • Fasting challenges (from everything from food to noise to comfort)

  • Encouragement from a growing community of faithful Catholics

  • Personal invitations to group prayer sessions for the Holy Father and the Church

Why Thursdays? Pope Leo XIV was named the 267th successor of Peter on Thursday, May 8, 2025. We honor this day by offering it back to God—for the sake of his servant.
