Fasting Offering

Lord Jesus Christ, as you were led by the Holy Spirit into the desert to fast and pray before embarking on your earthly ministry, lead me into this time of prayer and fasting for the pontifical ministry of Pope Leo XIV.

Through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompei, I offer you this sacrifice, and all its sufferings, for his benefit. Look favorably upon him, Lord, whom you have set as the head of your Church to shepherd the faithful. I beseech you, O Lord, to bind any evil spirits that may cause him to stumble. In the face of temptation, may he be granted the strength to respond as you did.

Help him to know thy Father’s will, and grant that by word and deed he may be of service to your flock, so that one day we may all taste the fruit of everlasting life. Amen.
